8 Folds of Happiness
8 Folds of Happiness is a multi-sensory exhibition that reflects how values lead to happiness in Japan. In 2014, 10 design students from Temasek Polytechnic were selected to travel to Yamagata Prefecture, Tokyo, to learn about their culture, arts, craft and technology. Upon returning to Singapore, our task was to design an exhibition to promote tourism to Japan by showcasing our discoveries.
The exhibition showcased 8 ways in which we observed how the Japanese were contented and happy through various simple aspects of their lives, some values we hoped visitors could take away from the exhibition.
